Religious Institutions
Religion is intensely important to many Americans.  Religious institutions are places where people seek comfort, inspiration, and deep spirituality.  Therefore, religious institutions need to soar, motivate, and always be available in the most trying times.  Because they are non-profit and self-supporting, they need to accomplish all of this on strict budgets.  We are proud to have been general contractors for many of the churches and religious institutions that bless our vibrant and solid community.

At the First Baptist Church in North Chicago, we added an elevator for elderly members.  At Immanuel Lutheran Church in Evanston, we added an elevator, a commercial kitchen, and new handicapped-accessible doors.  For Messiah Lutheran Church in Wauconda, we added a sanctuary, nursery, offices, library and handicap-accessible washrooms, as well as a gathering place for the congregation. In the new, three level addition to Mount Sinai Baptist Church in North Chicago, we added an elevator. We also added classrooms, offices and a multi-purpose room.  At Orchard Church in McHenry, we expanded the church into the adjoining unit and added a sound-resistant, fire-rated door between the spaces.  We also built three new classrooms and a multi-use space.  At St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Waukegan, we completed alterations for a new elevator and the elevator itself, providing access to all levels in the existing church.  At Shiloh Baptist Church in Waukegan, we built a three level addition with an elevator, classrooms, offices, a multi-purpose room and a new main entry.  At United Methodist Church in Deerfield, we added a fellowship room and an outside deck.

We are proud and honored to have been allowed to create and/or alter these important and meaningful religious structures.  Call our president, Dale Vanderwerff, at 847-362-2448 to discuss the details and budget of your project.
